Soon the Delhi Government would go to implement the Land pooling Policy and at the same time, it would also have a place in project management consultant (PMC). About MPD 2021
National capital Delhi has witnessed a large gap in the demand and supply of housing units for the needy people. In 2006, the Master Plan Delhi reviewed that Delhi Development Authority is providing only 3.5 lakhs of housing units but the need is for 35lakhs housing units. This kind of situation forced the people to sustain in unauthorized living areas and colonies that lack in basic facilities and amenities. Moreover, most of these areas hold the status of agricultural land still now. The Delhi Government seriously looked into this issue and notified a new proposal named as Master Plan Delhi 2021 or MPD 2021. This plan sees involvement of private sector in the land development and infrastructure services as an enhancement over the current scheme of acquisition of land entrusted and large-scale development to DDA. This plan has divided the National Capital into 15 zones for smart city development. In order to fulfill the demands of people and infrastructure requirement of city, these zones have been developed and constructed with Government of India approval.
